Health Benefits of Mango Leaves That Most of Us Are Unaware Of!

Mangoes are incredibly nutritious and very healthy for everyday consumption and they are not only good for children, but also for adults. Mangoes are mainly native to India, and it is said that large quantities of mangoes are being produced there and then exported throughout the world from there.

If you take a closer look at mango leaves, you can notice that they are pretty much the same as any other leaves, namely, they are green. In the beginning, they have a deep red color that turns green as they grow ripe.

Mango leaves have abundant amounts of vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin C, phenols and flavonoids. They are also very powerful anti-oxidants. Because of the presence of all these ingredients, mango leaves have a huge impact on our health.

Diabetes

Due to the presence of tannins mostly known as anthocyanidins, mango leaves are very useful in the treatment of diabetes in its early stages.

The method to use these beneficial properties of mango leaves is very simple and easy. You just have to dry the leaves and then crush them till they are turned into powder. When treating diabetes in its early stages, you can either use this method or an infusion method. Using this mango leaves remedy you can treat both diabetic retinopathy and diabetic angiopathy.

The treatment for these issues is the following:

Soak mango leaves in a cup of water overnight. Then, strain the water and drink it. This should relieve your symptoms.

This particular remedy also contains a very important compound – Ethyl Acetate extract and 3 Beta taraxerol. This compound is very valuable because it plays a very important role in the synthesizing of insulin and activating Glucose transporter type 4. This also improves the synthesizing of glycogen. This stimulation, on the other hand, helps in the treatment of hyperglycemia.

Restlessness

Due to the presence of the so called hypotensive properties, mango leaves can be used in balancing the blood pressure levels. This particular property makes mango leaves very effective in lowering high blood pressure levels. This property also strengthens blood vessels.

Respiratory Issues

Mango leaves can also be used in the treatment of respiratory issues, such as asthma, cold and others.

Just boil some water and then add dry mango leaves in it. Add some honey to it and you have a remedy for a cough or any other respiratory issue.

Dysentery

Take a few dried mango leaves and crush them till they are powder. Then add them to a glass of water and drink this 3 times per day. This is very effective way to stop dysentery.

Burns Healing

To heal burns, you have to burn the mango leaves and then keep the ashes. Apply the ashes directly to the affected area. It will immediately relieve you from the pain but also speeds up the healing process. The mango leaves ashes can be applied to burns on the skin or scalds.

Ear Ache

Mango leaves offer a very simple way of healing earaches. First, extract the juice from the leaves. Then, take 1 tbsp of the juice and heat it. Use the heated juice as ear drops to get rid of the pain.
